I’ve been working on a new game concept for Pumpkin Pavilion in Humboldt Park. It is not fully fleshed out but the basic idea is that teenaged kids will be issued a crystal (in a holder) that can collect and deposit magic. They’ll take these crystals out to remote sites (still within the park) to perform some challenge and collect magic in the crystal as a reward. They’ll then transport this magic back to the pavilion to deposit it at a central objective site that will take a number rounds of magic deposits in order to accomplish the game’s main goal.
The ends of the crystals are two overlapping ovals that have been extruded. The notion is that these will form plug and socket structures such that one can plug a crystal for the purpose of receiving a magic reward for the successful completion of a challenge. The bottom structure will be a socket the accepts magic in to the crystal and the top structure will be a plug that can deposit magic from the crystal into another device be that another crystal or the central portal.
